Job Title : Site Coordinator
About the role : SUMMARY OF POSITION
A Site Coordinator oversees an ASPIRE or PREP program at a single school site (K - 12) intended to encourage a culture of learning by providing students with the knowledge, skills, and resources for academic and personal success. Programming may occur inside or outside of the classroom during the school day, after school, on weekends, or during the summer. Activities may include tutoring, personal enrichment, life skills, recreation, and other activities that facilitate success.
A Site Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation, and oversight of programming including the supervision of Youth Leaders who work directly with students. Under supervision from a Program Quality Supervisor, a Site Coordinator trains and evaluates staff, and works closely with school administration, faculty, parents, and students to ensure that programming meets the needs of the school and its students, as well as the policies of the California and / or Federal Department of Education.

Qualifications :
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's Degree, or, four years of experience working with youth in an educational setting. Education and experience can combine for the 4 years (i.e. AA and 2 years of experience). A Bachelor's degree, experience supervising staff, and prior history of successful implementation of youth programs is highly desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
LANGUAGE & COMPUTER SKILLS
Strong writing skills. Competence and comfort with computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and web-based communication tools, such as e-mail and Internet. Ability to speak Spanish is desired.
PHYSICAL SKILLS
Requires the visual acuity to observe the activity of children and others. Must be able to lift and carry small loads (up to 25 lbs.) and stand for prolonged hours.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must complete Live Scan Department of Justice and FBI Criminal Background Check and obtain health clearance (TB Test).
Condition of Employment & Benefits :
This is a regular part-time, non-benefited, non-exempt (hourly) position . You will be assigned approximately 35 hours per week for 43 weeks per year.
The position has regular recess breaks that align with partner school district breaks during summer, fall, winter, and spring breaks. Weekly hours may vary slightly based on program needs; in some weeks, you may work fewer hours, while in others you may work up to 40. Over a 12-month period, this schedule averages out to 29 hours per week .
This position requires the candidate to be available for work during program hours, generally Monday - Friday (10 : 00 - 6 : 00 PM) and some Saturdays.
The pay range for this role is :
25 - 25 USD per hour (Emerson Middle School)
