Healthcare Setting : Renal Med / Surg Telemetry Unit (36-bed unit)

End Date : March 22, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (19 : 00-07 : 00), every other weekend, holidays as required

Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48 hours per week)

Guaranteed Hours : 36

Dress Code : Solid Navy Scrubs

Parking : On-site available

EMR System : Meditech

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing (required)

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact State (no temporary licenses accepted)

BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (required)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred; candidates with at least 18 months of experience considered if 1 year is in Med / Surg Telemetry

Ability to float to other units and hospitals as needed

Med / Surg Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute or chronic kidney disease, including renal replacement therapy

Manage a 1 : 6 nurse-to-patient ratio, specializing in post-hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis care

Collaborate with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists for comprehensive patient care

Support patients throughout their treatment journey, from diagnosis to ongoing management

Float to other units or hospitals as required to meet patient care needs

Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR

Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code
