Summary

Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with the ability to develop and tactically execute on a supply plan that optimally supports the business revenue plan. This is a critical role in Sales and Operations Planning, as it will be the primary point of contact between Commercial, Demand Planning, and Manufacturing, translating business plans into clear supply requirements that ensures smooth product flow across the affiliate distribution network. The Distribution Supply Planner is critical to operational success by simultaneously executing against customer demand, optimizing inventory efficiency, and minimizing costs. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of supply chain principles, and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Define safety stock levels and reorder points based on lead times, demand variability, and service level agreements.
• Generate and reconcile mid- to long-term supply plan against affiliate demand plan that optimize inventory, while minimizing working capital costs and stock-outs
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in Commercial, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Order Management to ensure plan alignment
• Project and report on forward-looking affiliate location inventory positions, against KPIs such as on-time availability and aging inventory, to measure effectiveness of DRP plans, and resultant financial impact
• Monitor weekly inter-affiliate movement of inventory, and facilitate cross-functional discussions between Order Management and Manufacturing to ensure adequate prioritization of key requirements
• Identify and promptly resolve supply chain disruptions, such as component and production delays, via cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders
• Become familiarized with the global Distribution Requirements Planning process, and be in position to fully perform all key activities in a contingency scenario when the primary resource is unavailable; this will entail working on one Saturday in a month
