Your impact

As an Environmental Scientist, Engineer, or Geologist Intern in Anchorage, Alaska, you will impact the world around you by helping us solve real-life challenges. YOU are the future of our company. We’ll rely on you to provide support to our teams on critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning as you bring fresh ideas to the table. You’ll assist a team of project managers, scientists, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget for world class projects. You’ll work with a knowledgeable and supportive group of professional staff as you plan and execute field activities including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and remediation system maintenance; prepare scopes of work for subcontracts, conduct data analysis on field and laboratory data sets, and create technical reports documenting completed activities and results. We are looking for a local candidate for this role.

Here's what you'll need

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental science or closely related field
• Must be at least a rising Junior
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Willingness to perform field work
• United States Citizenship and valid drivers license

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• 3.0 GPA
• Previous internship related to your field of study
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
• Self-driven time management and organizational skills
• 40-hour Hazardous waste and emergency operations (HAZWOPER) training
• Local to Alaska

Posted Salary Range: Minimum 53,800.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 60,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $53,800.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
