Position Summary
Overseeing team members and shift leads while planning and assigning work to meet or exceed production quotas. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, maintaining safety and quality standards, and fostering a culture aligned with the company's core values. The position also supports continuous improvement initiatives and enforces company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment through education, coaching, and accountability.
- Supervise and direct a converting team of approximately 40 members, ensuring all operations run efficiently to meet production and quality goals.
- Manage workflow through pre-shift planning, monitoring productivity, raw material availability, and conducting regular operational audits.
- Ensure consistent attainment of production schedules and performance metrics.
- Engage directly with team members to understand shop floor operations and drive improvements in uptime, quality, and safety.
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Identify and address capacity constraints to achieve production targets.
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, productivity, and waste reduction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
- Maintain accurate attendance and scheduling records, ensuring appropriate coverage for all shifts.
- Support positive employee relations through effective communication, coaching, and discipline when necessary.
- Conduct investigations of workplace incidents, including accidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions.
Work Environment
This position operates primarily in a manufacturing environment, with approximately 80% of time spent on the shop floor and 20% in an office setting. Regular exposure to industrial equipment and noise levels typical of a production facility is expected.Physical Demands
