Position Purpose :

As the Division Director for Substance Use Disorders you will oversee our expanding services in the Central LA Region, in particular the Skid Row area where we are opening a state-of-the art Wellness Center that will include low barrier access to behavioral health and wellness activities provided by certified substance use counselors, licensed clinical social workers, psychiatrists, case managers, peers and other professionals.

The facility will also have 38 beds for Crisis Management Beds and Adult Residential Treatment. This project will be fully integrated with our 20,000 sf. Center for Community Health (CCH) Federally Qualified Health Center located immediately adjacent to this new building.

The Division Director of Withdrawal Management oversees the clinical and operational aspects of the new Facility in addition to our existing MAT, SUD and residential programs. They will ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with all applicable regulations while managing and providing leadership to a multidisciplinary team.

Principle Responsibilities :

• Responsible for licensing and certification of the new facility and ensuring on-going compliance with all regulations and laws.
• Develop and implement clinical and medical policies and procedures that align with licensing, accreditation, and best-practice standards for treating substance use disorders.
• Direct the day-to-day operations of the SUD and withdrawal management program and ensure effective communication and integration with other facility services.
• Supervises the delivery high quality clinical, rehabilitative and culturally competent services to clients with primary psychiatric diagnosis who may also have SUD, and HIV-related issues.
• Ensure that all patients receive safe and effective care, including developing individualized treatment plans and utilizing evidence-based practices, such as Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
• Oversee internal audits, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives to uphold high standards of care.
• Interview, hire, supervise, train, and evaluate staff, including nurses, counselors, and behavioral health technicians. Participate in counseling and disciplinary actions.
• Prepare and oversee the program's budget and monitor financial performance.
• Ensure the program complies with federal, state, and local regulations and standards from accrediting bodies.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in accordance with facility policies.
• Serve as a contact for external partners, community resources, and governmental officials.
• Provide leadership and guide and motivate staff toward meeting organizational goals and fostering a recovery-focused environment.
• Provide training and conduct staff meetings and facilitate ongoing training and professional development for staff.
• Advocate for the needs of clients and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
