Facilities Supervisor
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing major projects, ensuring the maintenance and safety of campus grounds and buildings, and managing budgets and staff to maintain operational excellence.
Responsibilities :
- Plan, budget, and oversee all major projects affecting campus grounds, dormitories, and administrative offices.
- Develop plans, budgets, timelines, and requirements for projects, maintaining all records and documents.
- Solicit project bids from contractors, recommending selections based on costs, reviews, and contractor quality.
- Submit applications for city or county permits as required for specific work or building improvements.
- Monitor progress, costs, and quality of work for each project, ensuring timely completion.
- Communicate with upper management to verify project scope and direction is on schedule.
- Develop and maintain routine maintenance task lists, ensuring timely and correct completion by staff.
- Perform regular campus inspections, noting maintenance needs and assigning tasks accordingly.
- Manage operating budgets for Maintenance, Operations, and Food Service cost centers, ensuring adherence.
- Develop and maintain a Capital Spend Plan, considering asset life cycles and capital improvements.
- Maintain compliance with fire code and Cal OSHA standards for building and grounds maintenance.
- Supervise maintenance staff and contract workers for day-to-day upkeep.
- Oversee repairs on buildings and manage inventory control of maintenance supplies.
- Communicate maintenance needs to contracted workers and vendors, facilitating their on-site time.
- Participate in Safety Committee and Disaster Planning meetings and drills.
- Manage Fleet Maintenance Program, ensuring routine maintenance and timely issue resolution.
- Serve as administrator for CMMS, assigning and prioritizing work orders and managing assets.
- Respond to emergency maintenance and repair calls.
- Supervise and support Maintenance and Food Services staff.
- Support IT project management, change management, and contract oversight for network vendors.
- Oversee application screening, interviewing, and hiring for maintenance staff.
Essential Skills :
Minimum five years of maintenance employment or related experience.At least two years of supervisory experience preferred.High School Diploma required, BA or AA desired.Valid California Driver's License with a clear driving record.Must pass First Aid, CPR, and certification courses within the first six weeks of employment.Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web browsers.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Project Management and IT support experience preferred.Experience using a CMMS to manage and organize workflow.Excellent writing, communication, organizational, and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $68640.00 - $70000.00 / yr. 401k Medical Dental HSA
