General Education Teacher Duties and Responsibilities

• Adheres to the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP 15) .
• Plans, implements, and evaluates instructional programs based on the California Content Standards .
• Utilizes effective teaching strategies and assessments to promote student learning and achievement.
• Creates a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.
• Collaborates with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Maintains accurate records of student progress and communicates regularly with parents / guardians.
• Participates in professional development, staff meetings, and school events as required.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, district policies, and contractual obligations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the site administrator.
