Facilities Construction Project Management
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Facilities Construction Project Management (Level 2) or Principal Facilities Construction Project Management (Level 3) to join our team! This position will be located on site in Palmdale, California.
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
This position oversees and manages the facilities projects and construction activities and serves as liaison between leadership, program and other customers.
- Act as primary contact for facilities between customers and maintenance for equipment and machinery project activities.
- Gather, review, and finalize requirements data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
- Plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
- Coordinate with architecture / engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
- Prepare Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services.
- Review and estimate costs, including design, equipment, installation, labor, materials, construction, and other related costs.
- Inspect or direct the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Manage and execute multiple facilities projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
- Forecast and report on project status, including key project metrics for Risk, Cost, and Schedule.
- Produce and implement risk mitigation and schedule recovery plans as required.
- Identifies any task that will require special inspection and coordinates with customer and contractors
- Coordinate and update the Air Force as required for projects, budgets, and schedule.
This requisition may be filled as either a Facilities Construction Project Management (Level 2) or Principal Facilities Construction Project Management (Level 3).

Salary Range : $73,900.00 - $110,900.00Salary Range 2 : $91,200.00 - $136,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
