Senior Plastics Engineer

How You Will Make An Impact

• Lead development of next generation polymer compounds, custom blends, and formulations needed for new product designs and processes.
• Evaluate and recommend polymers and polymer blends for a wide variety of injection molded products, primarily using PE, PP, and nylon.
• Review part and mold designs for DFx using tools like Moldflow.
• Develop qualification plans, conduct design of experiments, analyze data using scientific methods and present conclusions.
• Develop materials processing parameters, processing limits, and implement new technologies to improve materials processing and throughput.
• Provide expert recommendations for supplier selection and alternate sources of key raw materials.
• Initiate Engineering Change Requests as needed.
• Help improve process capability and cost as well as determine root cause and develop corrective action related to quality issues in manufacturing.
