Commodity Supplier Account Manager
As a Commodity Supplier Account Manager, you will oversee supplier relationships and ensure part health through order coverage and lead time management. You will manage the buying process for a given set of goods, apply sourcing policy, and interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing negotiations and commercial deal strategy, and drives daily management of supplier issues. Role may require up to 10% travel.
Roles and responsibilities include progressing the activities of supplier selection, proposals and quotes, quote analysis, negotiation, business approvals, supply award, and contract authoring. Manage relationships internally and externally to drive PO execution. Partners with supplier team and procurement operations to ensure compliance requirements for owned sourcing and procurement activities. Accountable for ensuring supplier order health so that contracts are not running out of quantity, time and are renegotiated in accordance with Sourcing policies and guidelines. Leads projects related to part procurement, or technical changes on parts requiring supplier engagement and support. Brings forward creative contractual solutions to promote contract performance / total cost of ownership. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility. Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Working within broad guidelines and policies, roles at this level have moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of evaluative judgment. Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or institution (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years' experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing / Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain or Contract Management roles) plus, a minimum of 3 years' experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing / Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain or Contract Management roles.
The base pay range for this position is 94,400.00 - 125,900.00 Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary / commission based on the plan.
