• They would like this resource to also be able to teach their team extensively along the way and provide in depth knowledge transfer
• Customer may be willing to allow remote 1 day a week.

Job Title : ECS Resident Engineer (Residency Services)

Job Summary

Client is seeking a skilled ECS Resident Engineer to join our Residency Services team. This role focuses on providing on-site or remote expertise to customers deploying and managing Dell Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS), a cloud-scale object storage platform. The Resident Engineer will work closely with customer IT teams to ensure successful implementation, optimization, and operation of ECS for workloads such as archival, cloud storage, data lakes, and compliance-driven data management. This is a customer-facing role requiring technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and deploy Dell ECS solutions (software, appliances, or managed services) tailored to customer requirements.

Optimize ECS for scalability, resilience, and performance to meet enterprise-grade storage needs.

Act as a trusted advisor to customer IT teams, providing guidance on ECS best practices and use cases (e.g., archival, backup, disaster recovery).

Develop and execute project plans for ECS deployments, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Integrate ECS with existing IT infrastructure, including public / private clouds, NAS, or other storage systems.

Document configurations, processes, and recommendations for customer environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of experience in storage, cloud, or data center technologies.

Deep understanding of object storage concepts, software-defined storage, and cloud-scale architectures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Dell Technologies certifications in ECS or other storage solutions.
