Job Title : Nurse Practitioner - Acute MedSurgical

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Acute MedSurgical department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our providers to ensure exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities : Patient Care :

Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with various medical conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and surgical complications.

Collaboration :

Work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.

Medication Management :

Prescribe and manage medications, including antibiotics, pain medications, and other treatments as needed.

Education and Support :

Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management, self-care, and healthy lifestyle choices.

Communication :

Maintain open and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

Qualifications :

Clinical Experience :

A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in the med-surg department.

Education :

Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited program.

Licensure / Certification :

Current LPN licensure in Louisiana and BLS provider certification required; ACLS provider certification preferred.
