Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items, ensuring high-quality and consistent resultsFollow established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standardsCollaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute menus for various outletsAssist in monitoring inventory levels and ensure proper storage and rotation of food itemsMaintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelinesAssist in the development and implementation of new menu items and culinary conceptsContribute to maintaining a positive and respectful work environmentUphold the Fairmont brand standards of quality and excellenceAttend training sessions and workshops to enhance culinary skills and knowledgeAssist in other areas of the kitchen or hotel operations as neededQualifications
Your experience and skills include :
Able to work in a high-pressure environmentMinimum 3 years cooking experience in at least two different kitchensections i.e. Garde manger, banquets, a la carte, breakfast etc. preferredValid Food Handler Certificate requireExperience in a luxury hotel with comparable service and standards an assetExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team playerPrevious experience, minimum of three years, in the culinary field requiredDiploma / Certification in a culinary discipline an assetMust hold valid authorization to work in the USAPhysical Requirements Include :
Constant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbsFrequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsAdditional Information
