Schedule : Monday to Friday, 2 PM to 10 PM

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager supports the Account Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the location in accordance with Beacon Hill Hospitality's policies and procedures. This fast-paced role requires the juggling of multiple duties including those related to people management, daily operations, and overall strategy.

Working with the Account Manager, the Assistant Manager ensures that all account criteria and expectations are consistently met or exceeded. The Assistant manager will support the Account Manager through recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, motivating and evaluating their teams. The Assistant Manager must lead by example and do whatever it takes to ensure that customers have an exceptional customer service experience. The Assistant Account Manager reports to the Account Manager

Staff Management Responsibilities

  • Assists manager with the hiring of candidates by interviewing prospects and ensuring all required employee information is accurate and complete.
  • Trains new staff in account specific procedures and company policies
  • Fosters a spirit of teamwork and unity that enables each employee and the team as a whole to succeed.
  • Consciously creates a workplace culture that is consistent with Beacon Hill Hospitality's mission, vision and values.
  • Motivates, leads, coaches staff to perform as a team providing exceptional customer service. Serves as a role model.
  • Working with the Account Manger, enforces policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Communicates with staff on a regular basis. Updates staff on policy changes, new programs, operational changes, etc.
  • Provides technical support to the team in the event of a gap in coverage.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Assists with weekly scheduling of staff in accordance with budgeted hours.
  • Assists with completion of bi-weekly payroll and reports for corporate office as necessary.
  • Operational Responsibilities

  • Supports the Account manager in the maintenance and ordering of all equipment and uniform needs.
  • Supports the completion of weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure safe, efficient, and optimal processes are followed.
  • Handles customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Accurately completes accident / incident reports.
  • Solves problems and makes decisions using sound and reasonable judgment.
  • Works with Account Manager to maintain compliance with all account specific procedures.
