About the Role :
The Dispatch Supervisor in Modesto, California, plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient coordination and management of dispatch operations within a foodservice commercial kitchen equipment repair company . This position is responsible for overseeing the daily scheduling and deployment of technicians and resources to meet service demands promptly and effectively.
The role requires close collaboration with service technicians, parts, and operations teams to optimize workflow, maintain high customer satisfaction, and address operational challenges swiftly. The Dispatch Supervisor will lead a team of dispatchers, providing guidance, training, and performance management to uphold service standards. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in dispatch operations or supervisory roles , ideally in foodservice, restaurant, or equipment repair industries .
Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency with dispatch software, scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience in foodservice equipment repair, commercial kitchens, or technical service environments .
Familiarity with local regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements relevant to dispatch and field service operations.
Certification in logistics, supply chain, or operational management.
Demonstrated success in process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the dispatch team to ensure timely and accurate assignment of service calls .
Develop and maintain efficient scheduling systems to allocate technicians and resources based on demand forecasts and priorities.
Monitor dispatch operations to identify and resolve issues, ensuring minimal disruption to service.
Collaborate with service technicians, parts teams, and management to align dispatch activities with overall business objectives.
Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to dispatch staff to foster a productive and motivated team environment.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, technician assignments, and service metrics for reporting and analysis.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
