Job descriptionPatient Care & Clinical Support Greet, prepare, and document patient information in EMR (history, vitals, medications, allergies, etc.). Assist providers during exams, procedures, and treatments. Perform clinical tasks such as administering oral / injectable meds, wound care, IV starts, and diagnostic tests (EKG, pulse oximetry, eye exams, etc.). Conduct CLIA-waived lab tests, glucose checks, PT / INR testing, and specimen processing. Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized exam area. Provide patient education per provider direction. Administrative / Front Office Duties Handle phones, greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage check-in / out processes. Verify insurance, process referrals, and manage prescription requests. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EMR. Assist with proactive patient communication (reminders, follow-ups, care coordination). Support supply inventory, ordering, and office medication management. Assist in onboarding and training new team members. Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. Experience : Minimum 1 year as a Medical Assistant. Certifications : CPR preferred; IV start and phlebotomy experience a plus. Familiarity with EMR systems , Google Suite, and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and medical coding preferred. Must be bilingual (English / Spanish) for patient communication. Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data. Team-oriented yet capable of working independently. Compassionate, patient-focused, and culturally sensitive. Reliable, professional, and able to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment.
