OVERALL FUNCTION :
Provides clinical assessments as well as outpatient psychotherapy, including, but not limited to, individual, family, and group sessions under the direct observation or close supervision of a trained counselor, lead therapist, or clinical supervisor. Assignment of a full caseload shall be contingent upon the supervisor's positive assessment of the counselor assistant's individual skill level.
Conducts assessment and diagnostic services to develop a comprehensive treatment plan and related treatment recommendations.Develops and implements individualized treatment plans (under the supervision and guidance of a counselor, lead therapist or clinical supervisor), using but not limited to individual, group, and family methodologies.Participates in treatment team meetings with all levels of psychiatric and clinical staff, both individually and in group supervision.Prepares, maintains, and submits all assigned case records, charts, reports, forms, and other required documentation in a professional and timely manner.Initiates appropriate Intra and Inter Agency contacts to facilitate the care of the individuals that are served.Other duties as requiredAdheres to all policies, laws, regulations, and codes of ethics and confidentiality as outlined by federal and state laws, and agency policies and proceduresQualifications
Master's or bachelor's degree in human services, licensure in the Commonwealth as a registered nurse, associate degree in human services, a high school diploma or GED equivalent in accordance with the Department of Drug & Alcohol Program (DDAP) regulations.Demonstrated ability or willingness to obtain the credential of Certified Addiction Counselor and / or status of CounselorAssigned a full caseload based upon the supervisor's positive assessment of the individual's skill level and continued under observation of supervision of a trained counselor or clinical supervisor.Demonstrated ability to obtain vital information during a personal interview to make proper recommendations.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, providers, and other social service agencies.Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal health care program.Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from the Pennsylvania State PoliceAVAILABLE BENEFITS :
