The Bradley School is a licensed private academy educating students who present with special education needs. These students may have learning, emotional and / or behavioral challenges and struggle to succeed in a traditional classroom setting. We are looking for a Lead School Counselor who is motivated, compassionate and has a calling and passion for helping children. We are looking for someone with initiative, creativity and a desire to have a positive impact on a child’s life.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Provide individual and group lessons to students
- Connect students, families and referring school districts to community resources
- Participate in student meetings
- Maintain contact with families and school districts in accordance with department’s requirements
- Complete strengths, needs, and cultural inventory for day school students and share relevant information with the school community
- Support students with transition back to home school district
- Support students with college and career exploration
- Oversee the implementation of the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program
- Provide at least bi-weekly supervision to direct reports
- Provide vision and leadership to oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of programs within the therapeutic pillar, ensuring alignment with the school’s goals and strategic priorities
