We are seeking a visionary Head Aeronautical Engineer to lead the design and development of cutting-edge lighter than air vessels. As a critical founding team member, you will play a pivotal role in transforming logistics and cargo transport through sustainable aviation innovation.
Key Responsibilities :
Design and Development : Lead the design, prototyping, and testing of hydrogen-powered airships and integrated propulsion systems.
Materials Engineering : Evaluate and select advanced materials for structural integrity and efficiency.
Aerodynamics Optimization : Develop aerodynamic models and ensure efficient flight performance under various conditions.
Team Leadership : Build and manage a team of engineers and technicians to bring the project from concept to reality.
Systems Integration : Collaborate with specialists in hydrogen propulsion, automation, and software systems to ensure seamless integration.
Regulatory Compliance : Work closely with compliance officers to meet FAA and international aviation standards.
Innovation : Stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements in sustainable aviation.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
Experience : 8+ years in aerospace design and engineering, preferably with blimps, UAVs, or hydrogen-based propulsion systems.
Skills : Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA), simulation tools, and structural analysis.
Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and manage complex projects from concept to deployment.
Passion : Deep commitment to sustainable aviation and disruptive transportation technologies.
Equity and Compensation :
Equity : 3%–5% of the company with a 4-year vesting schedule and 1-year cliff .
Compensation : Equity-only during the initial phase, with a competitive salary + benefits as funding becomes available.
