Maintenance Director

$1,500 Sign-On Bonus! Paid in two installments at 90 and 180 days after starting employment, contingent upon maintaining good standings.

Citadel At Casa Scalabrini is seeking a Maintenance Director to join their team! The Maintenance Director is responsible for the Environmental Services Assistants and full maintenance of the inside and outside of the facility.

Maintenance Director Duties and Responsibilities :

Responsible for recruitment, training, clinical orientation, supervision, scheduling, timecards, and personnel issues in the department.

Communicates on a regular basis with the Administrator who is responsible for ensuring that the facility physical plant equipment is functioning.

Leads facility inspection tours and is able to meet with Village inspectors.

Performs snow and ice removal as directed.

Performs minor tile, wallpaper, painting, and drywall repairs.

Performs gardening and lawn care duties.

Repairs and replaces door and window hardware.

Maintains and repairs pumps.

Perform all preventative maintenance.

Maintains accurate documentation as directed.

May be required to assist at other facilities, as directed by management.

All other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Director Qualifications and Skills :

The ability to make carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing repairs.

Strong documentation skills.

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

High level of PC literacy preferred.

The ability to budget the needs of the department.

Maintenance Director Education and Experience :

Experience performing maintenance duties in a healthcare facility or industrial setting required.

Associate’s degree, trade program certificates, or equivalent in work experience required.

Bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, or health and environmental services preferred.

Physical Requirements :

Walking, reaching, bending, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.

Must be able to push, pull move and / or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and / or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.

Must be able to walk, utilize a ladder, and work on the facility roof.
