TOWER WELDER
2years experience 12 hr shift up to 7 days a week .
$25.00 DOE
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Uses metal core mig, tig, flux core or stick welding process (must pass two or more)
- Ability to pass applicable test(s) and applicable Non-Destructive Exam
- May weld brackets and braces and use grinders. May position pieces be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. May perform position welds on code materials.
- Proficient in flame and plasma cutting torches.
- Must have some experience reading and understanding blueprints.
- Must be able to operate basic cutting equipment.
- Promotes and supports safety, production, and positive attitude. Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
- Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department.
- Requires employee to rarely type and use a computer and other office equipment, such as copier, printer, calendar, telephones, etc.
- Requires operation of heavy equipment such as welding tools on a constant frequency and forklift on an occasional frequency
- Able to weld according to Welding Procedure Specification and its parameter requirements.
- Perform other duties as required.
