Job Title : Java Developer with Kafka and SQL

Location : Chicago, IL (Onsite Local Candidates Only)

Duration : Long-Term Contract

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications using Core Java, Spring, and Spring Boot .
  • Implement and manage Kafka-based data pipelines for real-time data streaming.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, DevOps, QA, and business analysts) to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and performance tuning activities.

Required Skills :

  • 5 8 years of hands-on experience in Java / J2EE development .
  • Strong experience with Kafka (producer / consumer, topics, partitions, schema registry, etc.).
  • Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Microservices architecture , and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS / Azure preferred).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
