Introduction

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill three exciting opportunities within our Business Development team : two positions focused on International Business Development and one position specializing in Business Development - Technology.

Do you thrive on building relationships with businesses in technology, European, or Asian countries? If so, we have an extraordinary opportunity for you! As an International or Technology Business Development Manager, you will spearhead efforts to attract international or technology businesses to Loudoun, Virginia, by building a pipeline of executives of international or technology companies exploring expansion of their operations into the United States, thereby contributing to the global business landscape.

We are looking for a motivated business development professional with experience in prospecting and lead generation in international markets or technology industry sectors. Candidates can come from diverse industry backgrounds. Loudoun's targeted industries for growth and expansion are technology, aerospace defense, highly specialized manufacturing, life sciences, and energy. We offer a supportive and collaborative environment where you are not just an employee, but a valued member of a team that values collaboration, support, and engagement. You will have access to sophisticated lead-generation tools to support your efforts and drive success. You work mainly from the office with a hybrid schedule and travel opportunities to meet with prospective companies.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, International Studies, International Economic Development, Public Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field; three (3) years of related work experience preferably in project management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

International business experience and / or IEDC certification is not required but is preferred.

Work is performed from our offices in Ashburn, Virginia, on a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification). Pass criminal, credit, and driving background checks. Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) certification is preferred. Required to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed and minor travel required.
