Job Description :
The teams Hardware Engineering division is in search of a seasoned Senior Test Systems Engineer to bolster their current product lineup and forthcoming developments.
The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive expertise in hardware testing, spanning from requirement delineation and test plan formulation to fixture construction, testing execution, and data management.
The role initially centers on the upcoming bidirectional electric vehicle charger project, presenting an excellent opportunity for the appointed engineer to shepherd a high-volume consumer product from conception through production.
The position entails close collaboration within a tight-knit team, necessitating a proactive approach and a penchant for varied responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include requirement tracking, devising test strategies, managing in-house and outsourced testing, and liaising with compliance and manufacturing teams.
The role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in test engineering or a related field, proficiency in electrical and mechanical test methods, familiarity with renewable energy concepts, and scripting proficiency, among other skills.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
- 5+ years experience in test engineering or related roles.
- Expertise in electrical, mechanical, and environmental test methods and equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics and ECAD data.
- Familiarity with AC and DC power systems and testing procedures.
- Working knowledge of renewable energy concepts.
- Proficient in one or more scripting languages for lab equipment automation.
- Ability to automate complex lab testing without relying on LabView.
- Demonstrated experience in workload and project management.
- Strong writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Desired Qualifications & Skills :
- Ability to fully own and execute in-house PCBA-based test fixtures.
- Familiarity with UL safety test standards and National Electric Code requirements.
- Knowledge of grid-interactive or bidirectional EVSE standards.
- Experience with certification testing (UL, FCC, Energy Star).
- Expertise in Python-based lab automation.
- Familiarity with Altium Designer.
