Overview
Vamos Health is a Primary Care clinic offering services in both English and Spanish to the community. We provide comprehensive, compassionate, and culturally responsive care to our diverse patient population. We are seeking a Bi-Lingual (English / Spanish) Medical Director to lead our clinical practices, while maintaining an active patient care schedule. This role blends leadership and direct clinical practice, allowing you to both shape the quality of care and stay connected to patients on a daily basis.
This role reports to our Chief Operating Officer and would ideally maintain quality of care for our Arizona practice while also maintaining a panel of patients. They would serve as a mentor for our other practice APP's and help vet out quality controls, implementation recommendations for different care models / services Vamos could provide.
Responsibilities
- Patient facing hours (30 per week)
- Provide comprehensive primary care services in both English and Spanish.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary primary care to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, ad compliant clinical documentation in the EMR.
- Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and role model for providers and staff.
- Administrative hours (10 per week).
- Provide medical oversight and guidance for clinical staff, including APPs.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement quality improvement and compliance initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, state, and federal regulations.
- Share insight with COO for peer review, utilization management, and provider performance evaluations.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development for clinical team members.
Qualifications
Education : MD, DO, NP, or PA from an accredited program.Licensure : Active and unrestricted license to practice in Arizona.Experience : Minimum 7 years of primary care experience required.Language Skills : Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skillsCommitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care in a bilingual environment preferred.Preferred Candidates
