What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients, guests, and / or visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe for any unusual or suspicious activity. Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and assisting with the flow of people in and out of the location as needed. Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and client representatives. Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including evacuation support or contacting emergency services when appropriate. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to staff and patrons. Minimum Requirements : A guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Access control or badge experience is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
