Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant. This role will report to one of the accounting managers in the department and help us continue to scale in the healthcare industry. The Senior Accountant is responsible for keeping the books in accordance with the U.S. GAAP, analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial statements for clients, and ensure appropriate internal control policies and procedures are adhered to. This is a hybrid role.

What You'll Do
Oversees deposits of cash on time while keeping accurate accounting recordsKeeps the manager up to date on all relevant and appropriate matters as it pertains to his / her positionPrepares monthly journal entries and maintains complete records of these transactionsReconciles bank statements and keeps an accurate running total of cash on handEnsures monthly balance sheet account reconciliations are prepared timely and accuratelyCompile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and quarterly management reports in accordance to U.S. GAAPOversees accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses and ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and proceduresEnsures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes making certain all financial reporting deadlines are metAssists in preparation and submission of quarterly and annual reports as required by Department of Managed Health Care’s agreementSubmits quarterly and annual financial reports to the health plansPerform financial flux analysisPrepares for financial audit and coordinate the audit process including working with external auditors and health plansEnsures compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial dataAssists with ad-hoc procedures and tasks as requested from managementQualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university, on track to obtain the CPA license or is a CPA3+ years progressively responsible experience in AccountingStrong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data, including financial statements and key ratiosHigh proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience involving extensive work with complex spreadsheetsAble to work with details as needed as well as understanding the big pictureUnderstanding of US GAAP and experience researching technical accounting issuesHighly motivated individual who can work independently or with others as neededEnjoys problem solving and able to meet multiple due datesExperience working in a fast paced environmentEnvironmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work in-office and at home on a weekly basis. The office is located at 1668 S. Garfield Ave. 2nd Floor, Alhambra, CA 91801.The total compensation target pay range for this role is : $100,000 - $110,000.
