Atlas Group Services, LLC is seeking experienced Tower Climbers for immediate start in the Desert Southwest market. We are dispatching new crews daily in the AZ, NM, and NV areas, and work volume is consistent and ever increasing.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Troubleshoot, tear-down, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, assembly, testing, and installation services for designated electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems and equipment
  • Assist in producing, reviewing, revising, and interpreting technical engineering documents
  • Assist in designing, fabricating, assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, subsystems, components, test fixtures, and prototypes
  • Develop and perform equipment and component adjustment, test, and certification processes
  • Perform equipment performance analyses, data collection, and reporting
  • Install equipment and modifications
  • Climbing and working on communications towers for installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems, radio equipment, etc.

and performs tower maintenance under close supervision

  • Must have the ability to traveling extensively within assigned region
  • Ability to build sites for AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T Mobile, etc.
  • The basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment
  • Knowing the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment
  • Analyzing situations accurately and adopt an appropriate course of action
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Following instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action
  • Recognizing safety hazards and performing duties in a safe manner
  • Must have the ability to traveling extensively within assigned region
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years old
  • Must be minimum of 21 years old to drive company vehicles / operate company equipment
  • A minimum of 3 years of industry experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by company’s insurance
  • Be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Must pass company drug testing
  • Keep appropriate documentation (time cards, job cost, etc.)

Must be able to pass background check, drug screening, and provide 3-year MVD record

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to perform moderate lifting and carrying (90 lbs.), straight pushing and pulling, reaching above shoulders, use of fingers and both hands, walking and standing, repeated bending, climbing, crawling, kneeling (use of both legs and arms), operation of crane, truck, tractor, or motor vehicle.

In addition, have both eyes with depth perception and ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of colors and have satisfactory hearing (aid permitted).

Must be willing to work in extremely cold, hot, snow and rainy weather conditions.

Individuals assigned Tower Maintenance duties must satisfactorily complete a physical capabilities examination and Tower Climber and Rescue certification training.
