Human Resource Generalist

We are actively seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join our Human Resources Department. This position will be a hands-on resource providing guidance and best practices to CSI Companies employees.

The core responsibility will be to assess and anticipate Human Resource related needs and communicate proactively with other Human Resource personal and company leadership to achieve professional, legal, and ethical business objectives.

In this position, you’ll implement, administer and maintain various human resource functions including employee relations, benefits, compliance and HRIS system administration.

You’ll partner with members of the Human Resources team and other departments to provide excellent internal service and support for the employees and the company.

The job duties include, but are not limited to :

  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HR issues, ensuring positive employee relations.
  • Provides guidance on new and updated compliance regulations to department leadership.
  • Assists with interpretation and enforcement of company policies.
  • Responds quickly and with sensitivity to resolve employee problems in partnership with HR Management. Conduct employee relations counseling and conduct or participate in investigations as needed.
  • Develop integrated solutions and forms partnerships across the business lines delivering managers, leaders, and employees’ guidance, counseling, coaching, and assistance that reflects company culture.
  • Oversees and leads large and complex Human Resources projects.
  • Serve as a consultant / trusted advisor in resolving departmental, people and change related issues.
  • Coaches’ business leaders on HR policies and processes, inclusive of talent planning, development, federal and state level employment practices, and performance management
  • Generate necessary reports and statistics for management, analyzing trends and metrics.
  • Provide dedicated support to HR Business Partners with specific focus on HR transactions, data maintenance, employee changes, compensation changes, employee data / assignment changes, reporting, off boarding, and Workday records as needed.
  • Administers pay, benefits, and leave requests.
  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave;

disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.

  • Maintains and updates HRIS records and associate files. Ensures associate files are complete and compliant.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding organization’s policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Prepares and maintains confidential personnel, medical, and training files of active and terminated employees in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Focus on technical and administrative HR support and expertise.
  • Possesses working knowledge of HR policies and procedures as well as federal, state / province and local laws.
  • Works with Finance, Legal, Human Resource, and other departments to coordinate overlapping employee / employment law issues.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies that will build morale, increase productivity, and increase retention.

  • Manage risk to the company by ensuring compliance requirements are met in respective areas of the HR function and make recommendations and implement modifications and improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational personnel data.

  • Performs other related duties and special projects as requested.

Requirements :

  • To be considered candidates must have : Impactful leadership abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent, related work experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in HR or a related role, preference for candidates with prior HR experience.
  • Experience supporting employee relations and strategic HR initiatives; handling sensitive, complex and confidential information.
  • Experience with basic business and customer service principles, including planning and organizing, resource management and leadership skills.
  • Experience with FMLA, ADA and other state and federal employment laws.
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge of CRM / ATS and ERP applications, (Bullhorn and Workday- preferred), or 2+ years of experince in staffing and / or back office. - Preferred
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills and highly detail oriented.
  • Ability to be diplomatic and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
