Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager performs and / or coordinates all repairs and physical maintenance of the community and individual apartments, ensuring preventive maintenance is scheduled and performed on all equipment as needed.
Responsibilities
- Performs troubleshooting and repairs to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems throughout the community.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the safe operation and use of hand and power tools used throughout the general maintenance industry.
- Oversees and manages the community maintenance technician(s) and housekeeping staff (hiring, onboarding, and training).
- In partnership with the Executive Director, evaluates, coaches, and performance manages the team consistent with Enlivant policies.
- Inspects building(s) and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs.
- Documents compliance with life safety and regulatory requirements as directed by Federal, State, and local codes.
Requirements
Two to three years of experience in facility maintenance including experience with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.Three to six months of previous supervisory, training, and mentoring experience.Must meet, have, or eligible to obtain all applicable state requirements and certifications.Written and oral English communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma (or equivalent).Experience interacting with individuals diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.Working Conditions
Physical Demand Level : Medium. Ability to unilaterally and bilaterally lift, push, and pull 0-20 pounds frequently, and 21-50 pounds occasionally. Constant walking, seeing, hearing, smelling, and talking.
