Primary Responsibilities Preparation for service including pre-service cleaning, table setting, and communications with other departments Attend to assigned tables and ensure that all guests are comfortable and happy with the service provided during their visit Guide customers through their dining experience, make recommendations on menu items according to their preferences, and communicate all dietary restrictions and special requests to the kitchen Ensure that the dining area and bathrooms are clean before, during, and after service Maintain tidiness of guest tables throughout service and follow all health and safety requirements Required Skills & Character Traits Time management and ability to work in a fast-past environment Ability to accommodate changes and remain professional at all times Willingness to help others and work well in a team oriented environment Attention-to-detail Strong sense of color, proportion, and scale Excellent problem-solving skills Solid communication skills, ability to ask for help / guidance when needed, ability to take feedback constructively Excellent dexterity / fine motor skills Self-motivation Ability to comprehend instructions quickly Passion for the food and hospitality Willingness to work weekends and holidays Ability to stand for long periods of time Preferred Skills Experience in fine dining service Experience in afternoon tea service Job Details 30-40 hours per week Starting rate : $19-$22 / hour, DOE, plus commissions on sales and tip Health, Dental, and Vision Benefits (must maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week) Paid parking / Orca card Position start date : Immediately Powered by JazzHR
