Job Summary :

The Staff Accountant will support the leadership team and will be responsible for a broad range of administrative duties. This is a newly created position that combines normal accounting duties with a compliance role necessitated by a material increase in funding related to the Eaton Canyon wildfire relief effort. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional to learn new skills and have a meaningful impact at an organization that is helping the community rebuild and improve people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities :

General Ledger Maintenance

• Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit fund accounting
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card accounts each month

Accounts Payable

Retail Deposits & Sales Reconciliation

Grant and Fund Accounting, Compliance

Financial Reporting & Audit Support

Other Duties and Responsibilities as needed .
