  • Job Type : Travel contract\n
  • Start Date : November 10, 2025\n
  • End Date : February 9, 2026\n
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks\n
  • Shifts : 4 shifts / week, 10-hour days (06 : 45–17 : 15)\n
  • Call Schedule : Two weekday evening calls (5p–7p) and one overnight call (5p–7a) per week; weekend call (5p Friday–7a Monday) every 6 weeks\n
  • Holiday Requirement : One holiday during assignment\n
  • Patient Ratio : 1 : 1\n
  • Number of Beds : 12\n
  • EMR System : Cerner\n
  • Scrubs : Provided\n

    Qualifications for OR Tech – First Assist

    \n

    \n

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program\n
  • Certified First Assistant (ASA or NBSTSA) – required\n
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a surgical scrub tech or OR Tech\n
  • Documented First Assist experience in the operating room\n
  • BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required\n
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the Clarksville facility\n
  • Travelers must submit all required documentation\n

    Key Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons as a First Assist during operative procedures in the OR\n
  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and equipment\n
  • Perform surgical scrub duties and manage surgical instruments\n
  • Participate in scheduled call rotation\n
  • Work collaboratively with the surgical team to deliver high-quality patient care\n
  • Follow all safety and infection control protocols in the operating room\n
