Job Scope and Accountabilities :
The Manager, Translations is responsible for managing SAI360's translation team and localization needs.
- Responsible management and relationship of SAI360 Translation Providers and Localization Strategy
- Manage a small team of translation project managers as well as project managing strategic accounts.
- Work directly with cross functional leads to improve processes and customer experience
Key Responsibilities :
Project Management :Oversee the translation and localization of Training and Compliance content from start to finishCreate and manage translation project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflows.Vendor Management :Source, onboard, and manage external translation agencies, freelance linguists, and reviewers.Negotiate contracts, track performance, and maintain strong vendor relationships.Localization Strategy :Define and implement localization best practices across content types (video, SCORM packages, LMS interfaces, etc.).Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.Analyze translation metrics and continuously improve efficiency, cost, and quality.Stakeholder Communication :Act as the main point of contact for all translation and localization matters.Provide regular project updates and performance reports to leadership.Qualifications and Experience Required :
Bachelor's degree is preferred or commensurate experience.5-7 years' experience in Localization.3-5 years' experience in project management and vendor management.Leadership experience required, either within project or personnel management.Demonstrated ability to efficiently lead meetings with internal project team, cross functional management teams, and across the department.Experience working cross-functionally internally with other departments and externally with vendor resources for product improvement and development.Comfortable working with languages other than English.Experience within ethics and compliance is not necessary but would be beneficial.Interpersonal Skills :
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required with the ability to work within all levels of an organization.Foster successful partnerships and excellent working relationships with internal teams (customer success and learning product development resources) and external resources (vendor(s) and contractor(s) relationships).Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both within a team and independently to accomplish responsibilities and multiple tasks simultaneously.Critical attention-to-detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks / projects in tight timeframes, while maintaining accuracy and quality.Excellent problem solving and analytical skillsAs required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, the base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 plus opportunities for bonuses or commission. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
