I. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY :
Under direct supervision, maintains an assigned area of the hospital in a sanitary and orderly condition in accordance with departmental and regulatory agency policies, procedures and standards.
Education
Completion of elementary school.
Experience
Skills
·Ability to work well under time constraints and to work effectively as a team member.
·Ability to courteously greet and exchange information with patients, visitors and staff while performing housekeeping tasks.
Licensures, Certifications
Physical Requirements
·Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
·Ability to do considerable walking and standing.
·Ability to lift 50 lbs. maximum, with frequent lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
·Occasional stooping, stretching, kneeling and crouching.
Working Conditions
·Somewhat undesirable; may be in frequent contact with strong cleaning and disinfecting solutions, some exposure to dust and infectious materials.
·Occasional exposure to risk of injury for up to twenty percent of work time.
