What you´ll do
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic and electrical circuits and controls throughout the plant.
- Analyze and determine proper corrective action to resolve electrical problems.
- Perform scheduled and preventative electrical work.
- Respond to emergency breakdown repairs and install new or expand existing plant electrical systems in complete accordance with the latest edition of National Electrical Code and Electrical Safe Work Practices as outlined in the St. Louis Plant’s Electrical Safety Program. Perform assigned work orders.
- Prepare work requests for repairs and improvement efforts.
- Assist in developing, modifying and performing P.M.’s and parts requirements. Ensure required spare or replacement parts are required for stock in the storeroom.
- Assist in gathering data for service and inventory records for electrical equipment and repairs from PMs and repairs.
- Assume the responsibility for the maintenance, PM’s and the facility upkeep of the plant building lighting and electrical distribution equipment, associated grounds maintenance, HVAC systems, support fire protection systems and plant wide utility systems.
- Ensure that health and safety is of the utmost importance to individual members.
What makes you a good fit
Must have a minimum of two years’ technical schooling for industrial electrical / instrumentation with two years of related working experience.Must submit transcripts to H.R.Must achieve acceptable scores on Validated Assessments and successfully complete / pass recommended schooling to achieve certification.Successful certification and passing assessmentsMust be able to pass the fork truck and elevator-platform lifts certification test.Must have basic capabilities in the use of test equipment.Must be capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints. Must have knowledge of and be familiar with 120V, 240V, and 440V power distribution systems as well as signal, control and communication circuitsMust have troubleshooting knowledge of electronic control systems, variable speed drives, motors and industrial / process instrumentation.Must have basic knowledge of process instrumentation installation, troubleshooting, and function.Must have working knowledge of equipment up to 480 volts 3 phase.Must be able to wear a respirator and other PPE as required.
The salary for this role is $36.14 - 38.04 This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
