Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Highway / Roadway Engineer to join its collaborative team in Bethlehem, Doylestown, or Philadelphia, PA. This individual will serve a key function in the engineering design of highways, freeways and local roads for diversified transportation projects across the Northeast and across the country. In this role, under the direction of a Senior Engineer, you will have the opportunity to assist with the design and permitting of traffic / transportation engineering and infrastructure projects in a cross-disciplinary learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Geometric designs of highways, freeways, and local roads using national and local codes;
• Concept layout and preliminary design of roads;
• Preparation of construction plans;
• Preparation of Traffic Signalization drawings and plans;
• Design of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements;
• Design of roadway drainage networks and preparation of stormwater management plans;
• Construction specifications review and estimating of costs and quantities;
• Preparation of Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans (MPT);
• Use engineering equipment and design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Guidesign, AutoTURN, etc.) to prepare engineering and design documents;
• Complete ADA inspections of constructed facilities; and
• Perform other duties as requested.
