Job Summary :
Under the general direction of the Director of Perioperative Services, the RN Surgical Services OR Manager provides leadership in nursing care for assigned areas, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The manager assists in directing and managing preadmission testing, pre-operative, operative, and post-operative staff to ensure high-quality service delivery to the hospital on a 24-hour basis. This role collaborates with physicians and other departments to meet patient and family needs while managing resources responsibly and supporting the hospital mission in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide nursing leadership and oversight for assigned perioperative areas.Assist the Director of Perioperative Services in planning, directing, and managing OR and perioperative staff.Collaborate with physicians and other departments to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.Evaluate and improve operational and clinical processes to ensure quality patient care.Manage staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation in a fiscally responsible manner.Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Support professional development and training of perioperative staff.Maintain BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for self and ensure team compliance.Required Qualifications :
Experience :
Minimum of 3 years recent acute care OR (Operating Room) management experience.Education :
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Licensure / Certifications :
Current RN license in the state of practice and / or active compact license.Specialty certification preferred (e.g., CPAN).BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.Skills :
Excellent oral and written communication.Strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and computer skills.Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.To Apply :
