POSITION SUMMARY

The I c e Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the facility. This position provides direction, training and development opportunities to front-line supervisors and part-time staff. This role will work closely with outside leaders to successfully accomplish these responsibilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING :

• Oversees front-line managers / supervisors to ensure compliance with SFM policies and additional applicable laws
• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the ice venue , including ice maintenance, scheduling, and facility management
• Trains and develops ice resurfacer operators to ensure safe and clean ice cuts
• Ensure the ice surface is properly maintained , including ice resurfacing, checking for quality, and addressing any issues promptly
• Oversee the setup and teardown of events, including hockey games, public skating sessions, and private rentals
• Oversee effective communications with event or rental owners pre and post event
• Participates in planning / strategic meetings
• Assists with labor law compliance and adherence
• Be on-site as needed and take responsibility for the various aspects of managing personnel and production
• Builds an overall understanding of the rental agreements in the company portfolio, their operational aims, and their revenue streams
• Ensures all guidelines are being met pertaining to health & safety, quality control, expense management, security, procedures, and facility maintenance
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to address any repairs or upgrades needed for the facility and equipment
• Oversees proper cash handling procedures
• Assist with venue sales and business development
• Supports hiring, training, and education of staff on proper safety procedures
• Monitors team schedule
• Assists in developing and managing budgets, and exercises control in expense management and facility maintenance
• Promotes company culture and expectations to staff
• Contributes to Facility Business Plan and execution
• Gives final operational approval for rentals
• Oversees proper reporting of inventory
• Serves as MOD as needed
• All additional tasks assigned by management
