Acquisition Specialist / Program Manager
The Acquisition Specialist / Program Manager applicant shall provide Program Management / Acquisition support to Program Management Office (PMO) Staff by assisting with all acquisition activities that include writing / reviewing related program documents, tracking contracting actions, creating / reviewing travel authorizations, and providing up-to-date status information. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
Responsibilities :
- Providing the government with on-site support for key projects.
- Possessing and applying expert knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and analytical methods / techniques to gather, analyze and evaluate information required by the Program Management Office (PMO).
- Providing Program Management / Acquisition support to PMO Staff by assisting with all acquisition activities that include writing / reviewing related program documents, tracking contracting actions, creating / reviewing travel authorizations / vouchers in DTS, and providing up to date status information.
- Concluding and devising solutions to problems relating to improvement of acquisition effectiveness / compliance, develop / draft acquisition documentation, and ensure quality control.
- Providing risk management and expertise in support of the NDW portfolio.
- Providing documentation support / scheduling and schedule integration management in support of the NDW portfolio.
Skills Required :
At least five years of combined industry and federal government experience managing the development, integration, and sustainment of DOD weapon systems.Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical engineering field, business, or management.Experience in DoD weapon system program management, knowledge of DoD 5000.2 (Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework) and AFI 63-125 (Nuclear Certification Program), and risk management and project scheduling abilities.Proficient in creating and integrating solicitation packages / documentation, acquisition strategy, Integrated Master Plans (IMP), and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) consistent with current policy / guidance.Must have project risk assessment.Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills.Applicant may be required to travel CONUS / OCONUS for a few weeks at a time.Proficient in the use of standard M / S office applications and M / S Project.Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
