Overview
Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Facebook, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. We are looking for an enthusiastic Engineering Lead to join the Financial Products Org, a key contributor to Adyen’s long-term growth and success. In this role, you will be a manager of managers and set and execute the strategy for your product or domain in partnership with your Product counterpart. You will help your team build products effectively while aligning with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for Adyen’s customers. Working with a global team across different technology stacks, you will challenge the status quo and help shape the future of Financial Products at scale.
What You'll Do
- Be a leader — define strategies to improve the technical performance of your domain and better serve customers (internal or external).
- Raise the bar — drive improvements in quality, reliability, and robustness by guiding engineering systems, processes, practices, and team culture.
- Build and motivate high-throughput teams — optimize decision-making and execution, unblock the team, and balance short-term delivery with long-term scalability and sustainability.
- Collaborate across teams — partner with product, GTM, and other functions to design, define, and shape new offerings and end-to-end operations.
- Acquire and retain great talent for Adyen.
Who You Are
Leadership and management experience — you motivate and inspire your team and focus on impacts for customers.Extensive experience designing, developing, deploying high-quality technical solutions, and scaling them sustainably.Self-starter who can adapt quickly and work across time zones.Deep care for customer needs and experience (internal and / or external).Execution aptitude — enable faster and higher-quality delivery.Cross-functional collaboration — partner with design, product, engineers, sales, and account management to drive product development excellence.Product strategy — craft a long-term vision for your team’s product and align it with the company strategy.Strong toolkit for people and talent management (recruiting, growth, coaching, performance, relationships, etc.).Effective communication — tailor your message to different audiences.Minimum Qualifications
