You assist with the development and implementation of strategies, programs, and initiatives to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging within the organization.You collaborate with Human Resources and leadership in reviewing new and existing policies through a DEIB lens, gathering research and input from affected parties as necessary, to make recommendations.You help educate and engage staff and leadership on reflecting how bias, privilege, and discrimination impact diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.You collaborate with all departments to ensure our libraries feel welcoming and belonging to all customers.You monitor the effectiveness of DEIB initiatives and report progress to the DEIB Director.You help coach managers and key staff on using tools for developing cultural competency and applying those concepts to decision making and leadership.You are a genius at gathering resources for employees, and providing support and guidance on DEIB issues and best practices for inclusive and equitable services.You are a connector, coordinating and scheduling Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support diversity goals and enhance employee engagement.You have excellent communication and facilitation skills for delivering training and workshops.You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across diverse groups.You conduct research and analysis on best practices and programs and stay up to date on regional and national trends in areas relevant to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in libraries, education and customer service, and what levels of success the various trends are reaching.You gather, analyze, and translate data to understand the effectiveness of DEIB initiatives.You assist the DEIB and Community Engagement Director in implementing DEIB strategic initiatives as needed.You have experience collaborating in developing and implementing DEIB initiatives and programs in a corporate or organizational setting.You have experience in conflict resolution, fostering understanding and resolution in diverse workplace scenarios.You demonstrate big-picture thinking, jumping in to help where needed, and collaborating effectively with the team, especially under pressure.You are a wizard at effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs with flexibility.You enjoy being part of a team and contributing to collaborative efforts, from setting up events to cleaning up afterwardYou are an explorer of technology and love learning about emerging trends that support DEIB initiatives.You have great ideas to share on district committees and enjoy taking a leadership role.You demonstrate integrity in all decisions and actions, upholding ethical standards.Do you have what it takes?
You have a bachelor's degree .You have 3+ years of experience in a DEIB role or as part of a committee.You have a strong understanding of DEIB principles and practices.You have experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing organizational change.You have ability to analyze data and generate reports on diversity metrics and progress.You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, adapt flexibly to changing priorities, and meet deadlines in a high-speed environmentYou have familiarity with employment laws and regulations related to diversity and inclusion.You are tech savvy.
