Confidently completes all assigned system and product installations per approved design and engineered specifications of fire alarm life safety systems. Performs inspections and service as assigned. Completes all jobs and paperwork efficiently, accurately, and with high quality. Alarm Detection Systems is looking for a Level 2 (or above) experience Fire Service Technician.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities :
Level E is the entry-level position and works under direct supervision. The essential duties of this position include the following :

Level 1 Is The First Level Where Professional Certification Begins And Is Expected. The Essential Duties Of This Position Include The Following :

Level 2 Is For Technicians Who Wish To Make a Career Out Of The Life Safety Industry. The Essential Duties Of This Position Include The Following :
Perform all duties included in preceding levelsBend and install conduit proficientlyPerform installation of all systems and products per engineered drawings, municipal, building, fire, and or any other codes with no supervisionAble to identify code and non-conformance issuesEnsure all systems are operational and pre-tested for final inspectionsComplete factory training for Honeywell products, including Fire-LitePrepares or reviews record of completion as the qualified or experienced technician following installationsSkillful diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for multiple brands of alarm systemsPrograms alarm panels with programmers and laptopCalls for and attends rough and final inspections with authority having jurisdiction (AHJ)Keen troubleshooting skills that result in the identification and resolution of equipment failuresPerforms service and repairs deficiencies on customer systems to the prescribed standardsAble to take on-call rotation and perform duties while alert and together enough to troubleshoot correct deficiencies or advise customers on alternative optionsAble to assist customers both in person and over the phone regarding system issuesEducates customers in the use and operation of various Fire, Security, CCTV and Access Control SystemsCSA Denver LicenseLevel 3
Level 3 And The Next Level Of Certifications Are For Technicians Who Work Independently And Are Ready To Start Supervising Other Technicians. The Essential Duties Of This Position Include The Following :
Performs all duties included in preceding levelsUnderstand all phases of construction, maintains project documentation, and creates red-lined filed drawings according to code and company policyReviews and manages completion of punch listsPrepares proposal and / or works with sales to provide additional equipment to existing systems to accommodate the needs of the customer or AHJAct as the company liaison for interface with customer representative(s)Attends jobs in progress (JIP) meetings and is a regular contributor or facilitator of the meetingsPerforms job walks as neededLevel 4
Level 4 Is The Apex Of Certifications And Technical Skills. Technicians At This Level Are Expected To Be The Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) In Their Position. The Essential Duties Of This Position Include The Following :
Performs all duties included in preceding levelsLeads, mentors, and trains all lower levels. Ensures training, licensing, and certifications are kept up-to-dateSets the level of standard in the number of compliments and complaints from customersIs responsible for quality assurance on all jobsSits on company committees (i.e. Safety)Attends job meetings as a representative of the companyWorks with general contractors on requirements, job schedules, and timelines, ensuring deadlines are metResponsible for company technical equipment maintenance and upkeepJob site safety representative.
