Job Description

Without community outreach, no paper would have its readers. It is the job of the Digital Media and Outreach Manager to ensure readers of The Nevada Sagebrush are presented stories on a variety of social media platforms.

Applicants should be able to keep all social media platforms updated daily and create new strategies to garner student engagement and views.

Applicants are expected to work closely with the rest of the team to ensure timely social media posts and to create projects that aim to boost engagement with The Nevada Sagebrush.

All applicants must submit 3-5 samples of social media management or content creation with their application.

Responsibilities

Manage all social media platforms

Respond to DMs / messages in a timely matter

Create media content to promote the Nevada Sagebrush and its endeavors.

Assist in creating marketing content for any endeavors The Nevada Sagebrush may take part in

Assist in advertising The Nevada Sagebrush including tabling and speaking with students

Required Qualifications

Candidate must be a student of the University of Nevada, Reno.

Candidate must maintain a 2.00 GPA and be enrolled in classes at UNR

Candidate should be familiar with current Sagebrush work (articles, multimedia, social media)

Preferred Qualifications

Candidate has experience with multimedia programs

Candiate has experience with a variety of social media platforms
