Shipping / Receiving Clerk Trainee

Greet visitors, answer plant phone line, and represent the first impression of CMC. Performing basic office duties like answering the telephone, directing calls, emails and fax. Verify inventory. Ensure stock materials are received from loader and inspected for uniformity and attachment of inventory tags, SAP tags, and partial tags on open bundles. Ability to work in a safety conscious industrial environment including use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Print tags on jobs for daily production. Ensure bundle count and bundle tagging accuracy. Ability to use Elcometer to collect mil readings. Verify incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, etc. Tagging and flagging materials outside. Preparing orders for shipment, complete all paperwork, and ensure accuracy of the order to ship.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to take direction and complete tasks with minimum supervision. Driven individual with honesty and integrity. Knowledge of Accounts Payable processes. Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Ability to use MS Excel & MS Outlook. Experience with SAP preferred.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
