Dishwasher
Reports to : Restaurant Manager

Job Overview :
Dishwashers are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware,
pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods.
Job Duties & Responsibilities :
- Completes opening and closing side work checklist for shift daily
- Supports staff by continually operating the dish washer and washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans,
and flatware
Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeps and / or vacuums floors, removes trash
and recyclables from the facility
Cleans and sets up BOH departments including kitchens, trash and compost room, wine storage,
bathrooms, and offices
Sets up service workstations thoroughly and on time and properly uses and maintains all
equipment
Works with the rest of the service team to ensure that the kitchen is fully set up on time, offering
help to teammates as necessary
- Timely receipt, storage and monthly inventory of chemicals, paper-goods, linens, and disposables
- Assists in taking monthly inventory of all chemicals, paper goods and disposable products
- Communicates with BOH management about stock and orders for chemicals, paper-goods, linens,
and disposables
- Updates knowledge and skills by participating in staff training opportunities
- Is a team player; supports and assists your fellow team members whenever possible
- Completes other duties as assigned by management
- Communicates all necessary guest information with the team to set everyone up for success
allergy alerts, VIPs, special requests, celebrations, etc.)
Atmosphere and cleanliness :
- Meets company standards of presentation and personal hygiene
- Consistently delivers highest standards of service
- Maintains sanitation to Department of Health standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
- Maintains and strictly abides by state sanitation / health regulations and restaurant requirements
and procedures
Maintains complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; uses equipment
and tools only as intended, properly and safely
- Inspects the cleanliness and organization of the line and workstations; rectifies any deficiencies.
- Inspects the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment and supplies, ensuring
everything complies with standards
Informs supervisor or manager on duty immediately of any DOH or OSHA / workplace safety
violations
Maintains proper storage procedures as specified by Department of Health requirements
Essential Functions :
- Able to lift 40+ lbs.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Polished personal presentation : grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee

Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the
business
Ability to walk, stand, and / or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to
perform essential job functions
