Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant (Interim)

Addison Group's client is searching for an Interim Senior Accountant for a 2-3-month basis. This role pays $40-45/hr and is hybrid in Arlington, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Support tax preparation, audits, and external reporting requirements.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
