Data Center Program Manager

The Data Center Program Manager is a crucial component to ensuring the day-to-day operations of our clients run smoothly and efficiently. An ideal candidate will have experience in data center operations, construction, or technology management, but a strong ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment is essential.

What you'll do

  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive data center initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, budget, and timelines.
  • Oversee strategic planning and execution of data center projects, collaborating with stakeholders across IT, engineering, operations, and compliance teams.
  • Manage multiple project streams, including infrastructure deployment, capacity planning, and vendor coordination to support scalable growth.
  • Develop and implement processes to optimize data center performance, operational resilience, and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, security standards, and compliance measures.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure seamless execution and delivery of projects.
  • Provide leadership in data-driven decision-making, leveraging analytics to improve project outcomes and efficiency.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization, presenting key findings and project updates to leadership and stakeholders.

You should have

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program/project management within data centers, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale capital projects.
  • Strong understanding of data center operations, including capacity planning, infrastructure management, and vendor coordination.
  • Expertise in working with colocation providers, enterprise IT environments, and cloud service providers.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving real estate, construction, IT, and finance teams.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets, contracts, and negotiations with vendors and suppliers.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Flexibility to travel as required for project execution and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a technical field, law, or business administration (MBA)
  • Proven experience with data center negotiation strategies and execution
  • Demonstrated expertise in data center leasing and related transactions
