Essential Functions

• Solicits and evaluates proposals / quotations, provides cost analysis, price justification, and risk assessments of suppliers at time of proposal.
• Competes bid proposals and executes long term agreements for premier programs and / or customer with approval from the Sourcing & Commodity Manager.
• Works closely with the pricing team to submit proposal quotes in a timely manner to the customer.
• Provides target pricing for the tactical procurement team post contract award.
• Assembles pre-awards documentation for anticipated contracts and purchases.
• Communicates any quote exception or any significant changes to the supplier's status as to financial stability, delivery / quality performance and pricing of parts.
• Assists Engineering in sourcing of parts and selecting suppliers to participate in development activities based on quality, lead time, cost effectiveness and producibility.
• Negotiates long-term contract agreements with key suppliers to obtain effective prices, terms, products, and services to support PPI, inventory reduction and WADPO.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the sourcing manager.
